TAFTAN: At least two people lost their lives while six others, including an assistant commissioner (AC), were injured after a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker caught fire in Taftan on Wednesday.
According to local officials, the incident occurred when the LPG tanker suddenly caught fire, triggering panic in the surrounding area. Rescue teams and law enforcement personnel rushed to the scene immediately after receiving reports of the blaze.
Casualties and Injuries
Authorities confirmed that two individuals died on the spot due to severe burns. Meanwhile, six others sustained injuries, including the area’s assistant commissioner, who was present during the emergency response.
The injured were shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Officials stated that some of the victims suffered burn injuries, while others were hurt during rescue efforts.
Rescue Operation
Fire brigade teams worked for several hours to bring the blaze under control. Security personnel cordoned off the area to prevent further damage and ensure public safety.
