Light Rain Expected in Karachi Over the Next Few Days: Meteorological Department
Karachi (Faiz TV) – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted light rain and drizzles in Karachi during the early mornings and evenings over the next few days, giving the city a brief spell of relief from heat and humidity.
According to PMD officials, a weak weather system developing over the Arabian Sea is likely to affect the coastal belt of Sindh, including Karachi. The forecast suggests that while heavy showers are not expected, the city could experience patchy drizzles, cloudy skies, and an increase in humidity levels during the day.
Temperature & Weather Conditions
Meteorologists said that daytime temperatures in Karachi are likely to remain between 32°C to 34°C, with humidity levels ranging from 65% to 75%, making the weather feel warmer than usual. Nights, however, are expected to be relatively pleasant with occasional light breezes from the sea.
Relief for Citizens
The drizzle will provide temporary comfort from the prolonged warm and humid spell Karachi has been facing in recent weeks. Many residents are hoping for a change in weather, particularly as the city moves into the transition period between summer and winter.
Advisory for Residents
Health experts have cautioned citizens, particularly children and elderly individuals, to take care during sudden weather changes as fluctuating temperatures may trigger seasonal flu, cough, and respiratory issues.
Meanwhile, traffic authorities have urged commuters to exercise caution as slippery roads due to even light rainfall can increase the chances of accidents, especially in busy areas and on highways.
PMD’s Outlook
The PMD has further stated that Karachi may continue to experience intermittent light rain or drizzle during mornings and evenings throughout the week, with no significant monsoon activity expected.
