Pakistan intercepts Afghan Taliban drones; 4 injured: ISPR
Rawalpindi: Four civilians, including two children, were injured after drone debris fell in several areas, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Saturday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the Afghan Taliban launched a few rudimentary drones on March 13, 2026, to harass people in Pakistan.
Pakistani security forces intercepted the drones before they reached their targets. They used both soft‑kill and hard‑kill countermeasures to destroy them.
However, falling debris injured civilians in several locations.
Two children were injured in Quetta. One civilian each was injured in Kohat and Rawalpindi.
The Inter-Services Public Relations said the drone attacks aimed to spread fear among the public. It described the move as part of the militant mindset of the Afghan Taliban.
The military also said that Pakistan and its armed forces understand what it called the “true intentions” of the group ruling Afghanistan.
The statement added that Operation Ghazab‑ul‑Haq will continue until Islamabad’s concerns about terrorism from Afghan soil are addressed.
The Pakistan Armed Forces said they will keep defending the country against terrorism, including drone attacks.
