Punjab Launches 1,100 E-Taxis to Promote Green Transport

The Punjab government has officially launched the province’s first-ever E-Taxi scheme, introducing 1,100 electric taxis to provide citizens with safe, affordable, and eco-friendly transport.
Officials said the project aims to reduce reliance on fuel-based vehicles, cut urban pollution, and modernize Punjab’s transport system in line with global climate-friendly initiatives.
