Sindh Govt Announces Women-Only Bus Service In Karachi

On Thursday, the government of Sindh declared its intention to launch the Pink Peoples Bus Service in Karachi, which would serve only female passengers.

Karachi’s new Pink Bus Service for women was announced by Sindh’s information and transportation minister Sharjeel Inam Memon on Twitter, starting on February 1.

He tweeted, “Inshallah Pink buses will begin operating on February 1st in Karachi.”

The transport minister declared that buses will run every 20 minutes during the morning and evening rush hours from Model Colony Malir to Tower through Shahrah-e-Faisal.

Transport Minister for Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon had previously announced the launch of a pink taxi service for ladies in the city of Karachi.

According to him, “the government has chosen to provide taxi services in Karachi under the Sindh Mass Transit Authority,” with the first rollout focusing on a “pink taxi service” for women.

In addition, Memon announced that women will be the taxi drivers and that cameras would be put in every pink cab.
