Sheikh Rashid Predicts That Civil War Would Soon Break Out In Pakistan

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, leader of the Awami Muslim League (AML), has expressed concern that the country may soon descend into civil war as a result of the escalating political, economic, and social issues.

The ex-interior minister recently gave an interview in which he blasted the current coalition administration, calling it a “disaster” for the country. He warned that the country was on the brink of chaos, but that the government was trying to find a way out by avoiding elections because “13 parties realise that elections will prove their political death.”

In reference to election-related operations of political parties in Punjab, he said that “political brides” had set up camp there. To preserve the country, which is powerless despite its large population, he urged citizens to take to the streets in rebellion against the government. He claimed that issues in the country had left the impoverished unable to provide for their children.
