Ghulam Mahmood Dogar was fired from his positions as Lahore CCPO and convener of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe the attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan by the caretaker Punjab government.
In the wake of the long march by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on May 25, caretaker Punjab CM Mohsin Naqvi is said to have replaced Ghulam Mahmood Dogar with Bilal Siddique, who was the CCPO of Lahore at the time.
It was decided to replace Ghulam Mahmood Dogar as head of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) that was formed to look into the attack on PTI Chairman Imran Khan. Dogar is to report to the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD).
