When Sharjeel Inam Memon, leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and minister of information for the province of Sindh, had chest pain, he was transported to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in Hyderabad.

Angioplasty was performed on Sharjeel Memon after he had cardiac arrest, as reported by doctors at NICVD.

The minister’s condition improved following the operation, and his doctors have recommended that he be released from the government hospital.
