Azam Khan Was Unanimously Chosen As Caretaker KP CM

Unpredictably, the government and opposition of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have settled on a candidate for the job of caretaker chief minister.

At the meeting called to finalise the selection of the caretaker CM of KP, Azam Khan’s name came up repeatedly and was unanimously accepted.

To serve as caretaker chief minister, Azam Khan has our unanimous support. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan-Fazal (JUI-F) head Akram Khan Durrani remarked, “We have picked a person who is acceptable to everybody.”

Mahmood Khan, the current chief minister of KP, said that this was the first time in “history” that everyone agreed on the choice of a caretaker chief minister.

During a press conference, Khan said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has approved of Azam Khan for the position of caretaker chief minister.

The governor’s house has received the letter appointing the caretaker provincial chief executive.

“We have got the letter informing us of the appointment of a caretaker prime minister. In the morning, we’ll send out the notification, “according to the Governor’s House in KP.

The candidate has served as a federal secretary for both the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Petroleum. In London, at Lincoln’s Inn, he graduated with a degree to practise law.

Though the dissolution of the KP Assembly occurred far later than that of the Punjab Assembly, the consensus decision to choose the caretaker chief minister was made much more quickly in the northwest province.

Meanwhile, in Punjab, the governing party and the opposition have not reached an agreement on who should serve as caretaker chief minister.

Earlier today, the committee to pick the caretaker CM in Punjab convened, but the meeting concluded without appointing anybody, and representatives from both parties criticised one another in news conferences.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will now deliberate on the subject and make a final appointment decision within the next two days.
