Australia Women Win One-Day International Series 2-0, Defeating Pakistan Women By Ten Wickets

Australia Women won the second ODI by a crushing 10 wickets, extending their series advantage over Pakistan to 2-0. The victory was fuelled by an incredible batting performance from openers Beth Mooney and Phoebe Litchfield against Pakistan’s bowling attack, which was spearheaded by Darcie Brown.

After choosing to bat first, Pakistan had a disastrous batting collapse and were bowled out for 125 runs, with Brown grabbing three wickets to lead Australia’s bowling attack.

In response, Australia’s opening pair of Litchfield (67 not out off 61 balls) and Mooney (57 not out off 55 balls) strolled to a resounding victory in under 20 overs.

The first two games of the series were dominated by the Australian team, successfully thwarting Pakistan, who are searching for their first victory in Australia across any format.

Three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) will follow the last One-Day International on Sunday, providing the Green Shirts a chance to build momentum ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa.
