Talks for a crude oil and LNG deal between Pakistan and Russia have started in Islamabad.
Information suggests that a meeting between intergovernmental representatives from Pakistan and Russia is now taking place in Islamabad. The ministerial-level dialogue will be conducted tomorrow, the sources added.
These discussions will go through January 20th.
The Russian delegation reached Pakistan on Tuesday for three-day inter-governmental talks.
Sources informed that the Minister of Economic Affairs Sardar Ayaz Sadiq would head the Pakistani side while the visiting dignitaries will be represented by the Russian energy minister.
A review of the development of the Pakistan Stream Gas Pipeline is also on the agenda, say sources.
