Maryam Nawaz Will Most Likely Arrive In Pakistan On January 22

Maryam Nawaz, senior vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), will return to the country on January 22.

Maryam’s return heralds the imminent arrival of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan. Premier Shehbaz Sharif reportedly told party leaders that Nawaz Sharif and party top organiser Maryam Nawaz will return to the nation this month (January) to take an active role in the election campaign.

On January 13, PM Shehbaz spoke with Nawaz Sharif over the phone and presided over a meeting of senior party leaders at his house to discuss the political situation in Punjab.

Khawaja Asif, minister of defence, claimed that Nawaz sharif will return after his legal team had completed their work safeguarding him.

A comeback to politics for Maryam Nawaz was reportedly approved by the party’s top brass. Her father, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, has entrusted her with crucial duties, including the recruitment of new party members.

Maryam will travel to Punjab to meet with government officials. Maryam, it is worth noting, recently travelled to Switzerland to have throat surgery. She left London and spent time with her father and brothers in Geneva.
