On Sunday, interim Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi proposed three individuals for the position of caretaker Chief Minister.
Elahi, speaking to the media following his meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, claimed that he had submitted three names, namely Ahmed Nawaz Sukhera, Naseer Ahmed Khan, and Nasir Saeed Khosa, for the position of interim chief minister.
He concluded that it appeared that agreement could be reached on these names.
Earlier, Imran, the chairman of the PTI, oversaw a meeting at his Zaman Park home during which PTI stalwarts discussed potential candidates for the position.
It’s worth noting that Elahi forwarded the assembly dissolution summary to the governor on the 12th of January.
Since the governor didn’t take any action within 48 hours, the legislature was dissolved.
