Pakistan Receives Economic Support From The UAE President

Following a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed decided to extend the country’s current $2 billion loan and give an extra $1 billion loan, as stated by Pakistan’s Minister of Information Marriyum Aurangzeb on Thursday.

Today the prime minister is meeting with the president of the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi to discuss expanding business and investment possibilities for Pakistani nationals in the UAE and strengthening economic connections between the two friendly nations.

Since becoming prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif has made three trips to the United Arab Emirates.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed Prime Minister Sharif to Abu Dhabi and wished growth and prosperity for Pakistan, Marriyum Aurangzeb said.

The Pakistani community in the UAE has made significant contributions, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed has lauded both the country’s history with Pakistan and the Pakistani community’s place in it.

The premier expressed gratitude to the president of the UAE for welcoming him to the brotherly nation.

“The two leaders addressed the brotherly connections existing between Pakistan and the UAE; examined methods and means to further develop these ties, particularly in the sectors of commerce, investment, and energy.”

Even Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed accepted Shehbaz Sharif’s invitation for a state visit to Pakistan. The diplomatic process will determine when the visit will occur.
