Apple’s First Foldable iPhone Might Launch In 2025

It’s expected that Apple will soon introduce a foldable iPhone, following in the footsteps of Samsung and Oppo. The media has speculated that the first foldable iPhone would be released in 2025 under the name “iPhone Fold.” According to Apple Insider, the next iPhone Fold will have an OLED screen among other upgrades.

It’s worth noting that Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip, the company’s fourth-generation foldables, presently have a near-monopoly on the foldable market.

Notable leaker Jon Prosser has said that Apple would adopt a foldable design comparable to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. How long the first foldable iPhone lasts, however, is an open question.

It’s worth noting that back in the third week of October, Samsung’s mobile branch, known as the Mobile Experience business, had a meeting with its suppliers to discuss the company’s plan for developing a foldable smartphone.

During the discussion, Samsung revealed that it believes Apple will enter the foldable market in 2024.

In addition, Samsung said that the South Korean market was seeing a three- to fourfold increase in the pace at which iPhone customers in their twenties and thirties were switching to Samsung’s foldable phones. The South Korean electronics giant recently told its suppliers that it expects the market for foldable smartphones to grow at a CAGR of 80% between now and 2025.
