On Saturday, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) detained five terrorists in Lahore who were all members of banned groups.
According to reports, a leader of a terrorist group that was outlawed was among those detained in the CTD operation.
The terrorist apprehended was already planning to strike vulnerable areas.
To add to the suicide vests, the five suspects were also found to have explosives, firearms, ammo, and material related to terrorist activity.
There were 504 security checks last week, screening 21,000 people for possible terrorists; 153 were apprehended. nonetheless, 67 hostages were freed.
