Pakistani Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has convened a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) in response to the recent spate of terrorist attacks in the country.
Top civilian and military leaders are expected to attend this week’s National Security Committee meeting, according to reliable sources.
In the next National Security Committee meeting, progress on the National Action Plan will be discussed.
In addition to discussing the performance and difficulties of the institutions working to deal with terrorism, the meeting will also examine the causes of the recent surge of terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to informed sources, the meeting would also review the status of ongoing discussions with the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and the execution of previous agreements.
