On Monday, the United Arab Emirates strenuously disputed allegations that visas will not be issued to natives of particular places in Pakistan, calling the claims “fake news.”

These cities include Abbottabad, Attock, the Bajaur Agency, Chakwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Dera Ismail Khan, Hangu, Hunza, Quetta, Kasur, Kohat, Kotli, Khushab, Khurrum Agency, Larkana, Mohmand Agency, Muzaffargarh, Na

Any potential applicants from the aforementioned locations were strongly discouraged from applying.

“Your visa application has been denied, and the application cost is non-refundable.”

While expressing his dismay at these rumours, Remeithi assured that Pakistani nationals are welcome to seek for tourist or business visas to the United Arab Emirates.

He said that individuals of Pakistan born or living in Islamabad or Lahore may get visas through the Karachi consulate in addition to the consulates in those cities.

Even the consulate general admitted that rumours like these sometimes circulate.
