Sohail Zafar Chattha, the DIG of Operations, has requested that the chief commissioner of Islamabad set up a JIT to investigate the suicide bombing in the I-10 area.
The Islamabad DIG has requested that the SSP of the Counter Terrorism Department create an eight-person JIT and has communicated this request to the chief commissioner through letter.
According to the letter, the eight-person JIT would consist of three DSPs and two officials from intelligence agencies.
Meanwhile, the Counter-Terrorism Department filed an FIR under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) after a suicide attack in the I-10/4 district of Islamabad (CTD).
According to the FIR, officers searched a car with a suspicious-looking male with long hair sitting in the backseat.
After the attack, Constable Adeel was unable to recover from his wounds and passed away.
