On Thursday, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that his country “is neither pursuing or receiving” cheap Russian oil.
According to an interview with PBS Newshour, Pakistani Prime Minister Bilawal Bhutto said that his country “is neither chasing or getting” any subsidised energy from Russia.
Even if Pakistan’s infrastructure isn’t designed to handle Russian oil, the nation may eventually work with Russia to take advantage of its inexpensive energy.
However, FM Bilawal did acknowledge that energy insecurity remained a problem in Pakistan. We’re looking at a lot of different options to increase the number of places we can obtain our power from, he added.
