Islamabad Court Has Summoned Imran Khan In The Toshakhana Case

In the Toshakana case, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has had their petition against former prime minister Imran Khan approved by a district and sessions court in Islamabad.

On December 12 the court heard arguments for and against the admissibility of the plea, and then deferred its decision.

According to the extra session judge’s ruling, the appeal will be heard on January 9th, and he has ordered the former prime minister Imran Khan to personally appear before the court on that day.

The Election Commission filed a Toshakhana report against Khan in November, accusing him of engaging in fraudulent acts, which he rejects.

The ECP’s ruling on the Toshakhana case disqualified the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
