Noor Alam Khan, the head of Parliament’s PAC, presided over a meeting on Tuesday.
According to reports, the chairman of the PAC has requested documentation of all gifts given and received in Tosha Khana over the previous decade. This includes presents to and from auditors, generals, political figures, and bureaucrats.
It is worth noting that on September 19, the judgement in the Toshakhana matter against former prime minister Imran Khan was reserved by a five-member panel of the ECP led by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja.
The ECP said in its written verdict that “as per the testimony of Imran Khan he had acquired the presents from Toshakhana paying 21.564 million rupees but the Cabinet Division maintained that the goods had a worth of 107.943 million.”
The PTI chief has said that he would appeal the ECP’s decision to disqualify him.
Recently, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) requested closing arguments from the respondents in a lawsuit challenging the disqualification of former prime minister Imran Khan in the Toshakhana reference on Thursday.
