Suleman Shehbaz Is Granted Protective Bail By The IHC

Suleman Shehbaz, son of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, was granted bail by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday.

In the matter of money laundering, IHC granted relief to Suleman Shehbaz. After returning to Pakistan on December 11, thereby ending his four-year exile, he and his attorney made an appearance in court today.

The case was heard by the Chief Justice of the IHC, Aamer Farooq, and Suleman Shehbaz was granted a 14-day protective bail.

Previously, the court ordered Suleman Shehbaz to turn himself up by December 13, while denying him bail.

Suleman Shehbaz’s attorney stated in court that his client has been residing overseas since October 2018.

He also asked that Salman be allowed to appear in court in his home country without fear of arrest.

The Lahore Accountability Court pronounced Salman an accomplice in the Sharif family’s money laundering case and issued a non-bailable arrest order for him.
