Party Official Removed By PTI For Representing Pm Shehbaz’s Son-In-Law

Barrister Waheed Ur Rehman Mian, a top UK official, has been removed from his position by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for defending Imran Ali Yousaf, the son-in-law of Pakistani Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif.

Details suggest that Barrister Waheed Ur Rehman Mian was removed from his position as deputy secretary of the PTI’s Office of International Chapters (OIC) for defending Prime Minister Shehbaz’s son-in-law.

According to party sources, Waheed Ur Rehman Mian was dismissed from his position for representing Imran Ali in a slander lawsuit and defending him on television. Nonetheless, the sources emphasised that the lawyer would still be an active PTI member.

According to the sources, the attorney was instructed many times not to represent PM Shehbaz’s son-in-law.  He also served as PTI’s London president.

In a statement, Mian Waheed said that he understood and accepted the party’s decision to dismiss him from his position but that his loyalty will always lie with former prime minister and party chairman Imran Khan.
