On Wednesday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench rejected a contempt charge against Asad Umar, the secretary general of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
The case against PTI leader Asad Umar for contempt of court was heard by Justice Jawad Hassan at the LHC’s Rawalpindi bench, as per the available information.
The PTI leader apologised completely, saying he has the utmost respect for the court and that he never intended to insult the judiciary.
Justice Hassan said at this point that he has recorded footage of Umar’s remarks. The bench replied, “You are completely aware of what you said.”
Justice Jawad Hassan remarked that PTI is taking aim at the judiciary since it permitted the group to stage a long march.
Asad, leader of the PTI, has stated he is sorry if he has over the line.
The contempt prosecution against the PTI leader Asad was dropped after he apologised without conditions.
