On Tuesday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senator Azam Swati received an injunction from the Balochistan High Court (BHC) to stop filing further charges against him.
As it turns out, Usman Swati, Azam Swati’s son, petitioned the BHC to drop all charges against his dad.
Two judges, Justice Kamran Mulla Khel and Justice Amir Rana, ruled that the PTI senator should not face any further criminal charges from provincial authorities.
Balochistan’s Inspector General (IG) was summoned to report to the court, and he will have to do so at the next scheduled session.
The justices emphasised that all the entities named in the appeal should follow these directives.
Until December 20th, the court hearing has been postponed.
