The UNSC has issued a strong statement of condemnation for the shooting at the Pakistani embassy in Kabul.
Details suggest the UNSC has released a statement condemning Friday’s attack on the Pakistani embassy in Kabul.
The UN Security Council has called for an open inquiry and for the protection of Pakistan’s envoy to Afghanistan. The Council also sends best wishes to the security guard who was shot three times in the chest and sent to the hospital for treatment.
To quote the statement: “The members of the Security Council needed to arrest perpetrators, organizers, financiers, and sponsors of these acts of terrorism accountable and bring them to justice.”
However, US State Department spokesperson Edward “Ned” Price also expresses worry at the assault on Pakistan’s Head of Mission in Kabul and condemns the terrorist act.
