Afghan Interim Govt. Met With Hina Rabbani Khar In Kabul

Hina Rabbani Khar, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, arrived in Kabul on Tuesday for a one-day visit to meet with the Afghan interim government.

In her discussions with Afghan government officials, she would reportedly address bilateral ties and cooperation in sectors like as education, commerce and investment, regional connectivity, people-to-people interactions, and regional security.

In addition, Pakistani State Minister Hina Rabbani Khar will reiterate her country’s unwavering commitment to and support of ongoing initiatives in Afghanistan aimed at fostering lasting peace and economic growth.

The FO statement said, “As a friend and neighbour of Afghanistan, Pakistan will reaffirm its abiding solidarity with the people of Afghanistan, in particular through its efforts to ease the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan and to create real opportunities for economic prosperity of Afghan men, women, and children.”

The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) issued a statement on Monday announcing the end of the truce it had agreed to with the government in June and the start of assaults throughout the nation, prompting the visit.

Official talks between the Pakistani government and the terrorist group began in October of last year but ended in December due to disagreements over tactics.
