At least seven terrorists were killed and Major Sibtain Haider of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday. The operation targeted militants linked to recent terror activities in the region.

According to a statement issued by ISPR, security forces conducted a precisely targeted IBO in DI Khan after receiving credible intelligence about the presence of armed terrorists.
During the intense exchange of fire, seven terrorists — described as “Khawarij” by ISPR — were neutralized, while Major Sibtain Haider fought bravely before embracing shahadat (martyrdom).
“The Pakistan Army remains committed to eradicating terrorism from the country at all costs,” the ISPR statement read.
Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the site, and a clearance operation was launched to eliminate any remaining threats in the area.
