Petrol prices will increase by Rs12 per liter

The fuel prices will increase after Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended an increase in fuel prices from February 01, 2021.

According to the sources, OGRA recommends increasing petrol prices from Rs12 per liter while diesel will go up by Rs10 per liter.

Yet the price increase needs the approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan before they come into effect. Following the directive of the premier, the Ministry of Finance will announce the prices of petroleum products.

Earlier on January 15, Prime Minister approved an increase in the prices of petroleum products for the second half of the month.

The price of petrol in Pakistan has been increased by Rs3.20 to Rs109.20 per litre, whereas the price of high-speed diesel has been raised by Rs2.95 to Rs113.19/litre and Light Diesel Rs4.42 to Rs76.23. The price of kerosene oil has now surged to Rs76.65/litre after an increase of Rs3.
