Finance committees reject bill for election funds The standing committees on finance of the Senate and the National Assembly have rejected a bill that sought to allocate Rs20 billion for the upcoming general elections. The committees said that the bill was unconstitutional and violated the Election Act 2017. The bill was proposed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to ensure free and fair elections.
